Friendship is a swing built for two.
Sometimes it tilts your way,
sometimes theirs.
There are days you’re the one pumping your legs,
keeping the motion alive,
while they just hold on.
Other times, you step away—
watching from below as the rhythm goes on without you.
And some days, you're both in sync,
hair tangled, laughter rising,
feet flying over the rooftops.
But once love enters,
it never fully leaves.
It stays in the ropes,
in the air between you,
in the quiet return of the swing—
always moving, always there.
